I had another follow up Doctor appointment today. Of course, X-rays the first item of business. I then saw the PA, Tim. He was pleased with the way I was walking. The wound looked great. He thought that Dr. Smith would probably release me. A few minutes later, Dr. Smith came in. He looked at the wound and he watched me walking. He said that normally he would see me in 1 year and then in 5 years. However, since that is not practical, I was officially released. Dr. Smith said that if we had any questions to feel free to contact him. He has been very open about contacting him through this whole ordeal. He highly recommends it as it is better for the patient and better for the physician. It has also been great to have “alternative” medicine options for pain relief. I still have up to a year to get back to 100% but it will take time to get the muscles and tendons, etc. to stretch, etc. I am so glad that I hd the surgery done. I am no longer in a lot of pain. I can enjoy walking again. Thanks to Nancy’s research, I believe I had a fantastic medical team.
