Today is our first travel day for the new year. We left the house about 10:30 ish. No big deal as we are only going to Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina. It’s about 4 hours away. During the drive we encountered a few very light rain showers. No big deal. We arrived at Huntington Beach State Park and stopped at the office. We met with Chase, one of the Park Rangers. We signed our paperwork and received our packet. The packet contains our hang tag, our time sheet, our Safety Inspection Sheets, and our work schedule for the month. The Site Safety Inspections are to be done during the month we are here. There are 6 tent sites and 175 RV sites, less the 2 Host sites. Fortunately, we are at the same site we have been at the last 2 times. We are scheduled to work Thursdays thru Mondays. That leaves Mondays and Tuesdays for our off days. We got parked, set up, and had a nice hot shower. We have never had good WiFi. The WiFi is great within the immediate vicinity of the bathhouses. We even had spotty cell service when we were with AT&T. We recently switched to T-Mobile and when we were in Colorado, with no WiFi, we discovered the T-Mobile Internet. After leaving Colorado, we held on to the device and used it last September when we camped at Bandit’s Roost. We held onto it to test for this trip. I set it up and low and behold, it works great here. According to the device, we have a mediocre signal but when we connect it to our King WiFi Extender we are able to use our streaming services. It also allows me to work on this blog and to take my Sani Serv online exam. In the years past, we watched the same DVDs multiple times.
